List of NFT Collectibles Tokens 2022

NFT Collectibles Tokens

NFTs are currently one of the most talked-about things on the internet and are quickly becoming one of the most expensive digital assets Riding on the back of the crypto-currency revolution, as all transactions are made on the blockchain (the technology that crypto-coins work on which makes them so secure and fraud proof), crypto-millionaires and entrepreneurs alike are jumping on the bandwagon of NFT collectibles.

But with so much hype around them, and so many people getting invested, are they actually as gold as people think? Or is it simply another bubble due to burst? In this article, I will focus specifically on digital collectables that have been minted with an NFT, and whether or not you should get invested.

How To Buy An NFT Collectible

The first step in the process is creating your own crypto-wallet. This is a definite necessity these days for everything from storing your money to trading NFTs. Everything you own is embedded in the blockchain in your wallet, keeping it secure from hackers and making it easy to find the assets you need.

There are dozens of wallets to choose from, but make sure you choose one that accepts Ethereum (ETH) coins, as most NFT transactions take place in this crypto-currency. Also, a good idea is to purchase a hard-drive wallet, which can be safely removed from your computer adding extra protection to your assets. Trezor is a good one, as is MetaMask.

DO NOT LOSE the security code/phrase you get when you create your wallet; it’s a good idea to write it down somewhere safe. If you lose this, you may never be able to access your assets.

Fund Your Wallet

Next up, we need to fill our wallet with some lovely ETH. Some wallets give you the option to purchase crypto coins directly through the wallet, but it is generally a safer idea to purchase them through cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Coinbase or Robinhood.

Simply find the buttons that say “buy/sell,” select ETH as your currency of choice, and enter the amount you would like to buy, either in ETH or your local currency. Enter your credit or debit card details and the transaction should happen within minutes. It is generally a better idea to set the amount you want in your own currency, as ETH is constantly changing value and can be worth a lot of money!

You will have to pay a transaction fee of around $10 every time you buy ETH so buy as much as possible in one transaction to avoid too many fees.

Find The Best NFT Collectible To Buy

You will need to find yourself a marketplace that specialises in the digital asset you require. Every NFT marketplace contains different NFTs, so browse around until you find one that has the music you want.

Once you’ve found the piece you are looking for, click “buy” and connect your wallet to the marketplace. No form of ID is required as this is all decentralised marketing. Beware however there are more fees when trading NFTs.

Once you have successfully purchased your collectible, the NFT token will live in your wallet until you (if you) decide to sell it. Here it can be viewed or listened to whenever you like.

Risks of NFT Collectibles Investment

As NFTs are a new concept, it’s very hard to judge the future of them. Due to this lack of surety, it is definitely a volatile market at the moment, and this is in part due to some of the risks involved.

One of the biggest risks of owning your NFT collectible is that you could lose it. As NFTs are hosted by a certain site, and your token simply provides a link to that URL, if the host server goes offline, you have lost your art forever. People are working on ways to solve this problem, however, such as storing the media between a few servers or putting it on a decentralised server.

Also, since there is a lack of control of fair trading standards in NFT collectible marketplaces, it becomes hard to judge or control the price of something. With methods like “wash trading” becoming popular (where someone makes multiple accounts to trade with themselves and boost the price of an asset) it heavily messes with the market value of other items.

Positive Future?

These risks, however, all only exist while the market is new. Tech-heads are constantly looking for ways to make the trading and storing of NFTs safer and more secure. With a little research and some precautions, you can easily find an NFT that will work for you. And as music NFTs become more popular, you can guarantee some good investments.
